Since 2016 we've raised over $43,000 for the intellectually disabled athletes of Virginia. This has been only possible through the extreme kindness of our fellow Knights of Columbus families, our friends, neighbors, family and colleagues. We are indebted to you for your support of our neighbors and friends who are aided and encouraged to reach the fullness of their abilities with the assistance of Special Olympics in Virginia.
Special Olympics does so much more than just hold athletic events. They provide nutritional education, mentoring, educational inclusiveness, leadership training and very importantly, medical care. In fact, Special Olympics is the largest provider of medical care for people with intellectual disabilities in the world.
Please continue to help us support this most worthy program to raise up our friends and neighbors. Our main fundraising effort takes place in the winter from November to February, culminating with several of us plunging into the frigid Atlantic Ocean, in Virginia Beach, in February. However, we may reach out for additional support if needed throughout the rest of the year.
